please, if you can, donate to the legal defense fund for those in Kahuku who are fighting against the building of wind turbines within their neighborhood!
I am a completely different woman than I was this time last year. And I’ll be a completely new woman by this time next year. I can’t wait to learn who I’ll be. I can’t wait to see who I am tomorrow.
[Video/Image Description: an Instagram video by @ kidbranzcentral, Mauna Kea, captioned “Police in swat gear destroying a children’s library built Mauna Kea by protesters” with the video showing the act.
Below, are two Instagram photos both by @ cody_fay, Kipuka Pu'u Huluhulu, that both say “Some of the braddahs who built the hale feeling it the hardest”. The first picture shows someone in a white t shirt in handcuffs being escorted by five cops. The second photo shows cops surrounding the library, with what appears to be red and black bottles of something at their feet. End ID]
What are those red and black things, does anyone know? My first thought leapt to kerosene, but I feel like it would have been mentioned more prominently if they burned down the library.
Mauna Kea protectors built a Hale as a place of learning and police showed up in swat gear to take it down.
Hawaiian protectors have done so much to make their protest as safe and educational as possible. They have created a school, there is a community up there. These are peaceful people trying to save what is theirs.
Hawaii’s governor is David Ige, an Okinawan.
As much as I don’t care for many of our police officers, it is made up of a diverse group of men and women which includes other Hawaiians. Who may not necessarily want to be up on the Mauna in the manner that they are but because its their job they have very little other choices.
So I didn’t plan for this to happen but I recently I paid the minimum for my credit card bill and I wake to find I not only got charged two more times that I was supposed to be but now it left me with overdraft fees and a 104$ negative balance. I do have a fundraiser for this here (I made my goal slightly more since there’s fees that get taken out) https://fundrazr.com/e1Z4yc?ref=ab_37FHY4 and you can send to my Venmo (wannabevalentine) and my cash app ($valentinesdean) I’m also always taking commissions as well and you can look at examples on my https://valentinebebe.carrd.co
I did contact Capital One about and they said it would take about 5 business to resolve the matter and I honestly don’t have enough time. I’ve like literally used up any money I had have going to the ER the other day and buying food for myself and I’m frustrated asking for help but shit’s going right for me and I need help really soon because I’m going to keep getting overdraft fees the longer I’m unable to pay this. Also not looking or force to donate to me. I’ve just having a terrible sequence of stuff in my life these past few months and being poor and unable find current work is really grating on me and I’d appreciate any help I can get.
A little update! Capital One did refund 25$ to me and I basically put what I had left to my name (which was that 87 cents 🥴) and although it will probably get high with overdraft fees again my account balance is currently this amount:
On top of things my phone (which was nearly paid off) gotten servely damaged the other and I have to get a replacement for it. Any help would be appreciated.
I didn’t get any donations but I did to get my balance down to 78$ any help is appreciated!
